It takes a really long time to accept and understand that he left because of him and not because of you.
Grief is a sneaky thing.
Last night I found a film on YouTube that my mother would have loved.
I was always searching for a certain kind of film to download for her to watch.
I was hit with melancholy and sadness to know that not only did I not find it before she passed, but that I would never be able to show it to her.
These are the passing things that grab your heart and squeeze it hard…right when you think it’s fine.
You’re managing your grief.
But, you never are.
If you have to talk someone into being with you, you’ll always be on the edge of loss.
If you’re someone who is leading another down the garden path of uncertainty, know that your victim deserves to be loved as much as you do.
But, you never know if it’s going to warm your hearth,
or burn your house down.
